Lift Up America and the Detroit Lions teamed up with Tyson Foods to help bring a truckload of food to Detroit’s less fortunate on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007. Players for the Lions were on hand to help unload the food and participate in the event. Gleaners Food Bank and Here’s Life Inner City also helped distribute the food to a variety of agencies throughout the Detroit area.
More than 30,000 pounds of high-quality Tyson protein products were distributed, representing more than 120,000 meals for those at risk of hunger in Detroit.
