Tyson Team Members to Raise Money and Awareness for Hunger Relief at RAGBRAI

July 19-26, hundreds of Tyson Team Members will converge along the route of the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) to raise money for childhood hunger relief in Iowa communities.  They’ll be selling meals to the ten thousand riders and thousands of community members, with 75% of the proceeds going directly to organizations in the communities where the food is served, and 25% going to national hunger relief organization Share Our Strength.   You can get a meal of Tyson protein products in these locations along the way:
Saturday–Missouri Valley—breakfast
Sunday—Underwood–breakfast
Monday—Kimballton-breakfast
 Tuesday–Grand Junction–breakfast Ames–evening
Wednesday–Green Mountain–brunch Toledo–evening
Thursday–Belle Plaine—brunch  North Liberty–evening
Friday–Mount Vernon–brunch
Saturday—LeClaire—brunch

We’ll have bloggers posting several times each day, so this section of the site will be continually updated throughout the week.  We’ll have an announcement on Friday, July 18 of some assistance we’ll be receiving from some very special Iowa-related bloggers.  Stay tuned for that news.

Additionally, Tyson will be making food donations to each of the America’s Second Harvest food banks that serve Iowa.  So far approximately 250,000 pounds of food have been committed to this effort.

Here’s where you can find continual updates of the RAGBRAI hunger relief activities.
