A New Walk, Inc. also known as Breaking Bread Food Pantry, located in Gainesville, Georgia, was founded in the summer of 2002 in a garage feeding about 20 families. They now feed approximately 350 families a week and also provide food to many other charitable organizations. They serve families of low income, fixed income, single parent or indigent status. They are the only food pantry that supports emergency referrals from the local Georgia Department of Human Services. They serve Hall, Jackson, Borrow, and Forsyth Counties. They have no payroll expenses. The program is run by 10-15 volunteers who are dedicated to serving those in need.
