Michael has been acting as a Hunger All Star, by dedicating his time to get food and monetary donations for the Mid-South food bank for the past 7 years. He coordinates with local grocery stores to get them to allow food bank collection barrels in their stores which are then used for the scouting for food event. He coordinates with the scout office to have scouts man the collection barrels. He also gets his family and anyone else he can involved in the event. He is all about helping feed the hungry and helping the local food bank.

Michael acts as a Hunger All Star through his dedication to the Mid-South food Bank, and his constant efforts to help them. He coordinates the scouts every year during the scouting for food event and gets the local supermarkets to allow food bank collection bins in their stores. He lets local media outlets know about the event, where collection bins are, and why they are doing the event. He also helps with other food bank events when possible. He is very committed to helping the food bank, and getting hungry mid-southerners fed.

Michael works tirelessly to help the local food bank, not only during the yearly scouting event but also by helping the food bank in any way he can. Michael works by posting on facebook, sending emails, contacting the local media, standing outside stores to collect food, and putting together teams of scouts to collect food.
